I usually avoid 2nd chance books but I did enjoy 'Hot Shot' so decided to give this book a chance. I loved it!Possible Spoilers Proceed With Caution )))Thanks
Hero and heroine both had a crush on each other in high school. Unfortunately heroine had been harassed since she started developing so she was cautious about intentions of others. Hero finally makes move on high school to ask her out but his lack of skills cause heroine to feel hurt and turn him down. Fast forward 5 yrs later and hero comes back injured after a sting in the military. Just happens heroine had to come back to take care of her grandmother and was trying to raise enough money to go back to nursing school. She gets jobs where she can and happens to land a job as the returning hero's aid. The couples relationship starts from here and let me tell you the chemistry was palpable!
I love the author's OTT heroes and this one was no different. He matured well the latest 5 years and was finally seeing heroine for more than her body. What he saw just bowled him over. The relationship had it's ups and downs, but hero wasn't about to let heroine leave him even when he messed up. Even through misunderstandings and some good groveling the couple grew and I saw how good they were together. The book is steamy. Safe read. No cheating. Loyal hero and protective. Hero was heroine's one and only. Read it on my Kindle Unlimited but bought it to re read.

This was actually a cute story. Gabe was a great guy and he was perfect for Tabby. I would recommend this book.
I really liked Gabe and Tabby's story even though some parts had me furious and yelling but also laughing. (No spoils) Hope you enjoy as much as I did. The second story was just as great.
Gabe and Tabby are such a loving couple once they finally got together. Gabe and Tabby knew each other in high school but did not act on their feelings until they became adults. Gabe a Navy veteran and Tabby a nursing student got their HEA and it was very sweet.
Quite a misunderstanding for five years or more. Tabitha was thought to be loose and free but wasn't. Her reputation was smeared due to photos in a yearbook which guys used to smear her reputation. Gabe was hurt while in the Navy and she turned out to be his aide in rehab. Many twists and turns in this book but an interesting read.
Facebook suggested this title, almost like it knew I was in the mood for my husband. I had to keep reading just to see what Cafe and Torpedo had in mind.
Let's just say I've read this in about seven hours and my husband is finally on his way home. Game on.
This was once again an awesome book by Joanna Blake. I always know when I see her books come up that I will enjoy the story. Well written, well rounded characters. Loved both H and h, but a few times I wanted to slap them. No problem, I often get impatient with stubborn people which both were. All in all, I highly recommend this book.
Sweet, sexy, fun = Gabe & Tabby. Their story is also a bit of a tear-jerker, or, it was for me. They just had some communication issues that caused hurt feelings on both sides & that made me hurt for them. But mostly it's the other things. I liked the story quite a bit! Also, there's a cranky cat that cameos a few times. LOL )
